Finishing off this quick and to-the-point post at a different location, but keeping what I wrote a few weeks ago in-tact in efforts to keep the theme alive…even if it is a bit vicarious as it’s currently 21 degrees and snowy out here in Pueblo, Colorado.
Let’s go back in time:
It’s a gorgeous, crisp day here in Brooklyn. My window is wide open. I can hear all sorts of bird songs mingling with the distant swoosh of the cars on McGuinness Boulevard. The snow is illuminatingly white in the sparsest of areas. Mostly the lawns of my various neighbors’ backyards. The screen on my window has visible raindrops. I am sitting here at my kitchen table just thinking of ways to keep myself busy. Thinking of a nice, healthy meal to make for myself and my husband. Spring cleaning is in order too. I was thinking about doing some type of baking soda air cleanser for the apartment. We’d also have to clean each room thoroughly and let this spring be the spring of new beginnings. A new way to live daily life in your home with a clutter-free mind and clutter-free space. If it takes up space in your home, it takes up space in your mind.
Today’s post is a far cry in comparison to my last post, nearing two months ago (life gets busy sometimes), with sweet and spicy goodness sewn to a skewer. While my last post was fit for times when I wanted to go vegetarian and give my system a little break from animal protein, this post features a snack perfect for that moment when your hunger craves something a little more gamey. I went ahead and perused the internet for a few recipes inspired by Asian food flavors containing either hunks of fish or boneless meat. Alas, I came across this recipe during my search and this is how it came out. My husband and I were superbly happy with the outcome. Brooklyn, EAT your heart out!
